One word could describe the engineering department at BowTech Archery — restless. The folks there are constantly innovating and building new technology into their bows, seemingly without taking a breath. For 2010, they’ve developed their Hardcore Limbs with seven layers, including a carbon core. Their new Overdrive Binary Cam uses a cam-synchronizing axle to soften the draw cycle and includes rotating modules to precisely set your draw length. As you draw the bow, a new FLX-Guard cable containment system flexes inward to absorb torque and reduce lateral nock travel.
All this new technology, combined with previous innovations, is available in the new Destroyer. The Destroyer 350 ($949) measures 32.38″ long with a 6″ brace height and speed rating of 350 fps. The Destroyer 340 ($949), with a 7″ brace height and speed rating of 340 fps, is available in draw lengths up to 31″. If you prefer BowTech’s Center Pivot technology, the Admiral ($849), Captain ($849), and Sentinel ($899) remain in the lineup for 2010.
