Now in Optifade

QAD's ULTRAREST has long been a hunting-community favorite, and now it adds Gore's Optifade patterns to the MXT and HDX models. Some bow companies are offering Optifade Subalpine, Elevated and Open Country on their flagship bows, and what would they be without a rest to match. The MXT features Smart Rest Technology, which includes full arrow containment, total fletching clearance, positive locking dovetails systems, Lock-Down Technology (zero bounce back), click micro-adjust and USA-made quality, to name several. The MXT's launcher sits at a 90-degreee angle when shot, which has been proven the most accurate position for a drop-away rest. Noise-reducing laser-cut felt and rubber dampeners optimize stealth, and Anti-Backlash Technology ensures problem-free operation.

TRUGLO

TRUGLO's Lock-Fire arrow rest touts micro-adjustable windage and elevation. Its full-capture design allows quick and easy installation and tuning. The rest is designed universally, making it ideal for most bows. Each rotation of the micro-adjustments moves the launcher .025-inch so you can achieve optimal results on paper and with broadheads. The delayed drop actuation supports the arrow longer, then the speed-activated hammer rapidly drops the launcher as the vanes approach for total clearance. When the bow is gently let down, the launcher remains upright so you need not re-engage it before drawing back again. The 2018 model includes a self-lubricating coating on the internal components, and showcases a new housing design. Five interchangeable colored launcher inserts are included for shooter-preferred appeal.

.30-06 Outdoors

The aptly-named Talon2 by .30-06 Outdoors has a launcher configuration that resembles eagle talons to securely grip the arrow shaft. All bristle-style rests eventually wear out, which is why .30-06 makes the two downward arrow supports from a Delrin-style material. The arrow supports are synchronized to adjust for arrow diameter via one simple screw. The Talon2 has a brush that comes down from the top and center of the rest's C-shaped containment ring. This small brush makes the Talon2 a full-containment rest so you need not worry — simply draw back or let down, and the arrow remains on the rest. However, archers desiring a more traditional two-prong rest can remove the brush. Complete fletching clearance rounds out this outstanding rest.

Apex Gear

Apex Gear has redesigned its Covert arrow rest to include independently micro-adjustable windage and elevation, which simplifies paper tuning. Its full-capture design means your arrow stays on the launcher no matter how forcibly you draw back. An ergonomic thumb lever makes activating the rest easy, and Hammer Release Technology eliminates launcher movement while drawing your bow. The Covert Micro-Adjustable arrow rest comes fully assembled and includes mounting hardware. Its delayed-drop technology supports the arrow longer than most rests, but it drops rapidly to provide total vane clearance. And the launcher remains activated when you let down. Five interchangeable colored Silent Draw inserts are included.
