Bowtech today unveiled its 2022 hunting bow lineup that includes four new models — a pair of flagship bows with broad market appeal, plus a bow for long-draw archers and a high-power bow for bowhunters who want maximum knockdown power.

The 2022 Bowtech line is led by the SR350 ($1,299) — a bow designed to be the most accurate and comfortable “speed bow” ever built — and the CP28 ($1,199) — a short axle-to-axle bow built for hunters who value maximum maneuverability in treestands and blinds.

The Eugene, Ore.-based bow maker is also offering the new Revolt XL ($1,299) to make its DeadLock Cam technology available to shooters with draw lengths up to 33 inches and the Revolt X80 ($1,399), featuring an 80-pound draw weight for bowhunters who want to put extra kinetic energy behind their arrows. Let’s take a closer look at each model.

SR350 — Speed to Burn

Bowtech took its proven and highly tunable DeadLock Cam System and optimized it for maximum speed in tandem with maximum speed, a smooth draw and tack-driving accuracy. As the name implies, the SR350 generates IBO speed of 350 fps on a 33-inch axle-to-axle platform with a 6-inch brace height and 4.4-pound mass weight.

The SR350 accommodates draw lengths from 25-30 inches via rotating cam modules and is available in peak draw weights of 50, 60 or 70 pounds. Other highlights of the SR350 include: Powershift Technology that allows shooters to choose between “comfort” or “performance” draw cycles simply by flipping a pair of cam-mounted discs; Clutch Performance Grip and a pair of Orbit riser-mounted dampeners and an integrated string stop to keep shot noise and vibration to a minimum.

SR350 finish options include Black, OD Green, Smoke Grey, Flat Dark Earth, Optifade Subalpine, Mossy Oak Break-Up Country, Realtree Edge, KUIU Verde 2.0 and Kryptek Altitude.

CP28 — Short and Sweet

If you like compact bows that offer great maneuverability in a tree or blind, the CP28 fits the bill. Measuring just 28 inches between the axles, this bow is the most compact DeadLock Cam System bow ever, but Bowtech says it offers the stability of a 30-inch bow due to the size of the cams. It is also worth noting the CP28 is the first Bowtech rig with the Integrate Mounting System, allowing for the attachment of compatible arrow rests via a dovetail machined into the back of the riser.

Despite its diminutive size, the CP28 generates an impressive IBO speed rating of 335 fps along with a 6.75-inch brace height and 4.4-pound mass weight. The bow accommodates draw lengths of 24.5-30 inches via rotating cam modules and is available in peak draw weights of 50, 60 or 70 pounds. Other highlights of the CP28 include: Powershift Technology that allows shooters to choose between “comfort” or “performance” draw cycles simply by flipping a pair of cam-mounted discs; Clutch Performance Grip and a pair of Orbit riser-mounted dampeners and an integrated string stop to keep shot noise and vibration to a minimum.

CP28 finish options include Black, OD Green, Smoke Grey, Flat Dark Earth, Optifade Subalpine, Mossy Oak Break-Up Country, Realtree Edge, KUIU Verde 2.0 and Kryptek Altitude.

Revolt XL — Long on Features

Long-draw archers can enjoy a bow long on features in Bowtech’s new Revolt XL. Accommodating draw lengths from 27.5-33 inches via rotating cam modules, the Revolt XL boasts a speed rating of 358 fps at the maximum 33-inch draw. The bow is also extremely accurate thanks to a DeadLock Cam System that has been optimized for longer draw lengths and also offers tremendous tunability. Despite its long draw-length range and extreme speed, the Revolt XL is still highly maneuverable at 33 inches between the axles. It also features a 6.63-inch brace height and 4.5-pound mass weight. Available in peak draw weights of 50, 60 or 70 pounds.

Revolt XL finish options include Black, OD Green, Smoke Grey, Flat Dark Earth, Mossy Oak Break-Up Country and Realtree Edge.

Revolt X80 — Packs a Punch

Bowhunters looking for maximum knockdown power from their hunting rig will appreciate the Revolt X80. Thanks to an 80-pound draw weight and the DeadLock Cam System, the Revolt X80 generates an IBO arrow speed of 340 fps and 102 foot-pounds of kinetic energy. As an added bonus, Bowtech says the DeadLock cams provide a smooth draw, great accuracy and easy tunability to match bow performance to your shooting style. Other features of the Revolt X80 include a 33-inch axle-to-axle length, 6.5-inch brace height and 4.5-pound mass weight. Accommodates draw lengths from 26-31 inches without a bow press via rotating cam modules.
