Broadheads vs. the Living Dead

In case you've been living under a rock somewhere, you may not have noticed that zombies are all the rage on shooting ranges across the country. Of course, that was just for the gun-shooting crowd -- until now. Rinehart today announced its new Woodland Zombie 3D target. So, just in case you've always wondered what a 2-Blade Rage would do to the rotting flesh of walking corpse, you can now answer the question.

I've got to give Rinehart credit for capitalizing on a shooting trend that has sold millions of targets to the firearms crowd, but I do have a few questions about the Woodland Zombie. First and foremost is where I am supposed to shoot this thing? As far as I can tell, there is no vital area marked on the target, and not being an expert on the undead, I really have no idea where you have to hit a zombie to put it down. And judging from the trio of open wounds already on this thing, I am guessing he can take a licking and keep on kicking, if you know what I mean.

My second major question is, how does a zombie with eyebrows this luxurious not have a uni-brow? Someone obviously gave him a trimmer for Halloween.

And finally, I want to know how much the Woodland Zombie costs, because I want one! No word on the price yet, but I'll update just as soon as I get the 411. In the meantime, enjoy Rinehart's lighthearted press release on the Woodland Zombie below:

THEY'RE HERE€¦ ZOMBIES IN 3D!

Be Ready For a Zombie Outbreak With The New Woodland Zombie 3D

Target By Rinehart®

If you're looking for a killer new way to practice your arrow placement, the new Woodland Zombie Target by Rinehart® is right up your alley. Seriously, what's more fun than practicing your shot on the living dead?  Unlike the popular zombie character that's known to ooze or bust zombie guts and blood at impact, this cool new Zombie Target heals in seconds, providing endless shooting practice at the walking dead — with 'no mess' (of target foam or zombie guts).

You'll be known as the zombie exterminator should the zombie apocalypse become reality, thanks to practice on the new Woodland Zombie Target.  Until then, it'll certainly help you perfect your shot, and be the envy of all your shooting buddies.  The target features not just one, but two creepy zombie heads to shoot at, with one on each side of the target — both with detailed faces scary enough to make your neighbor's jump in their tracks.

Even a straight shot to the head won't keep this zombie from coming back for more.  In fact, the Woodland Zombie Target is constructed from the company's Woodland Series FX Foam that can absorb shot after shot of field points, broadheads or expandable-tip arrows without tearing or losing its shape — surviving, and staying 'alive' even through the harshest abuse of both club and competitive shooting.

Like the 'real thing', the Rinehart Zombie can withstand even the harshest weather conditions.  Its weatherproof exterior is resistant to sun, heat and cold — making it ideal for practice year-round.  Plus, the unique and fun target is so lightweight, it's easy to transport and set up whenever and wherever needed.
