Precision Shooting Equipment (PSE) specializes in more than just designing and building hunting bows. They have an accessory line that includes arrows rivaling bowhunting's best. For 2010, PSE added the Bow Madness shaft to its Carbon Force Radial X Weave series. Carbon Force arrows are a favorite among serious bowhunters, thanks to tight tolerances and patented carbon weave process.
I've hunted with the popular Pro shaft, and after making a less than desirable shot on an antelope's shoulder blade, I was extremely pleased with the penetration as it buried through one shoulder and broke the opposite. Radial X Weave arrows are extremely durable, accurate and straight thanks to a computer process that weaves individual carbon fibers into a tight pattern for a shaft PSE advertises as 27-percent stronger than other arrow manufacturing processes.

Available as bare shafts or with 3-inch Fusion vanes, Bow Madness arrows come in two deflection (spine) ratings; a 200 (.424 spine) shaft weighing 7.5 grains per inch (gpi) and the stiffer 300 (.359 spine) shaft that offers a beefier 8.6 gpi. Bow Madness shafts offer a straightness tolerance of +/-.003-inch and are weight matched to +/-5 grains per dozen.
As I mentioned earlier, Carbon Force arrows are extremely durable, and it's my job to test and shoot broadheads for this magazine. I've shot group after group, broadheads attached, with PSE shafts and have marveled at their ability to rebound side to side when hit and even take on devastating broadhead to nock impacts. During my testing, PSE's Bow Madness shafts lived up to that reputation as I shot numerous groups without losing one arrow.
Fletched with red and white 3-inch Fusion vanes, bowhunters will appreciate the bright color scheme to help track their arrow in flight and also when looking for an arrow after the shot.
