Arizona E-Z Fletch Mini

The new Arizona E-Z Fletch Mini can fletch a dozen arrow shafts in well under an hour.

The new Arizona E-Z Fletch Mini can fletch a dozen arrow shafts in well under an hour. The entire unit fits in the palm of your hand. It retails for under $50. And, as the name implies, it's really easy to use. What's not to like? The E-Z Fletch Mini was designed for carbon shafts and today's short, high-profile hunting vanes such as the Bohning Blazer, Norway Fusion and AAE Max Hunter.

The unit can accommodate vanes up to 2.25 inches long and applies three vanes at once with a maximum right helical orientation for faster broadhead stabilization and tighter groups. To use the cylinder-shaped E-Z Fletch Mini, you push up on the base and turn to lock the unit in the open position. Then, you simply lower the three fletching arms, insert a vane in each slot, apply a bead of glue to each vane and insert your shaft into the hole at the base of the arms until it seats into the nock receiver. Finally, you release the spring-loaded base into the closed position, which automatically raises the fletching arms.

A small plastic cap slides over the shaft and holds the fletching arms securely until the vanes adhere. I tested the E-Z Fletch Mini using Fusion vanes and instant adhesive. The entire process only took about two minutes per shaft. If you are using an adhesive that takes longer to bond, you should wait several minutes before removing the fletched shaft from the jig. The E-Z Fletch Mini did a great job of placing the vanes on the shaft, with very little mess. And thanks to the clicking, 16-position nock receiver, the E-Z Fletch Mini also can produce arrows with the three most common four-fletch configurations.

MSRP: $47
