Introducing the New Bowtech Prodigy and Bowtech Boss

The Bowtech Prodigy (left) and Boss (right).

Some bowhunters seek maximum speed and power. Others prefer an effortless draw cycle for more comfortable shooting. And many seek a middle ground between those extremes. Thanks to revolutionary new PowerShift Technology from BowTech, archers now have all three options in a single rig.

A simple position switch of the cam-mounted PowerDisks is all you need to move among Performance (maximum speed and power), Classic (hard-hitting but smooth) and Comfort (effortless draw) settings, and it can be done in just a minute without a bow press.

This "three bows in one" PowerShift Technology makes its debut on two 2015 BowTech offerings — the Prodigy and Boss.

BowTech Prodigy

prodigy_1Designed with bowhunters in mind, the Prodigy weighs 4.2 pounds, measures 32 inches between the axles, offers a forgiving, 7-inch brace height and boasts a blistering IBO speed rating of 343 fps with 80 percent system letoff. In addition to PowerShift Technology, the Prodigy features BowTech's Center Pivot Extreme Riser and is powered by the company's OverDrive Binary Cam system.

The Prodigy also comes with the FLX-Guard cable-containment system for reduced torque and a host of noise- and vibration-dampening accessories. The Prodigy is available in peak draw weights of 50, 60 and 70 pounds and can accommodate draw lengths from 25-301„2 inches.

MSRP: $1,099

BowTech Boss

boss_1Designed for bowhunters with long draw lengths, the Boss offers a draw-range from 261„2-32 inches on a 36-inch axle-to-axle platform that generates an IBO speed rating of 333 fps. The Boss also comes with with the FLX-Guard cable-containment system for reduced torque, a host of noise- and vibration-dampening accessories and is available with peak draw weights of 50, 60 and 70 pounds.
