If you’re in the market for some new accessories to add to your modern-day stick-and-string, here’s a look at what’s being displayed on the show floor this week at the Indiana Convention Center.
Trophy Taker Xtreme Pro Lock Up Arrow Rest Trophy Taker is taking its well-known accuracy and ease of use up another notch with the Trophy Taker Xtreme Pro Lock Up being introduced this year. Available in a standard model and a micro-adjustable CLICK model, the rest uses a push lever that locks the Whale Tail launcher into place. With a multi-point mounting system (for riser attachment), stainless steel construction in key spots, roller bearings in the launcher arm, and rubber cushioning to help stop the launcher arm quickly and quietly, this new Trophy Taker rest can help archers drill arrows in the 10-ring. The CLICK version also features lockable, micro-adjustable windage and elevation, dialing in a bow’s accuracy even more. MSRP: $129 for standard, $149 for micro-adjustable CLICK model | trophytaker.com
VaporTrail Gen 7X Arrow Rest Building on the success of the company's Gen 7 arrow rest, VaporTrail Archery is introducing the redesigned Gen 7X Arrow Rest, a unit that comes with a new clean, sleek look as well as custom fit and color possibilities. Like its predecessors, the Gen 7X uses free-floating adjustable spring tension. Add in micro-adjustability in terms of windage and elevation, an activation cord that will attach to the bottom limb of a bow, and a built-in bubble level that aids in easy mounting, and this rest is easy to set up, easy to tune, and easy to use. Bow-specific mounting brackets give the rest a custom fit. MSRP: $199.99 | vaportrailarchery.com
Specialty Archery PXL Hunter Peep Built on the success of the popular Podium Peep sight for target archers, Specialty Archery is taking its expertise into the bowhunting world this year with the new PXL Hunter Peep. Utilizing a wide variety of verifier and clarifier lenses and sunshades, a bowhunter's ability to see the target downrange is maximized in the field. Coming in bowhunting-friendly aperture sizes (1/4- and 3/8-inches), the PXL Hunter Peep can be used on both 37- and 45-degree string angles depending on a hunter's rig setup. If the weather deteriorates, the peep sight’s hydrophobic coatings repel water. And on the pre-dawn walk through the deer woods, the various lenses are protected by polycarbonate material. While the PXL Hunter Peep has lens retention technology, the clarifier and verifier lenses can be removed with toolless ease should cleaning become necessary. With different kits and product configurations available, these peep sights also feature technology that centers the aperture in the bowstring and improves lens alignment. Featuring machined aluminum construction, the launcher arm will stay in the ready position, even if an archer has to let the bow down. With micro adjustability for windage and elevation, this full-containment drop-away rest is easy to set up, offers precision tuning, and delivers deadly accuracy. MSRP: $249.99 | hoyt.com
Trophy Ridge Whisker Biscuit V-Series Trophy Ridge introduces a new design to its popular Whisker Biscuit with the V Series, named for the V-Notch technology that centers arrows with fewer points of contact for improved accuracy. The updated bristle position results in reduced vane contact for increased speed and consistency. Compatible with both left- and right-handed bows, the V-Series offers four different models, including the V-Max which allows for micro-adjustments. MSRP: $49.99-79.99 | trophyridge.com
TightSpot 3-Arrow Tree Mount Previously available for the company’s 5- and 7-arrow quivers, TightSpot is introducing a 3-arrow Tree Mount bracket. Since the bracket mounts to the carbon rods on the back of the TightSpot quiver, the tree mount is always there, ready to use. Simply take the tree mount off, use the sharp attachment screw to attach the mount onto the tree, remove the quiver from the bow, and snap it into place. Your bow is now tightly attached to the tree, providing quick and easy access if you need to get another arrow quickly. MSRP: $22.95 | tightspotquiver.com
