Stealth Outdoors Bark Silencer

Stealth Outdoors Bark Silencer

When it comes to noise in a treestand, I am a nutcase. Any cameraman who has spent a week in a tree with me will tell you that. I despise the sound of my jacket rubbing against the bark of a tree, so I immediately recognized the Bark Silencer from Stealth Outdoors as a must-have product.

Made of ultra-quiet Amerisuede backed with fleece, it has two straps for attaching to the tree behind you, and it has gear-hanging clips for organization. You might also wrap it around a camera tripod, lay it across a blind chair -- or place it behind a cameraman! -- to eliminate noise.

Price is $39.95 (Stealth Outdoors, 248/459-8991, www.stealth-outdoors.com).
