TenPoint Launches 2026 Crossbow Lineup Featuring New 'Ultra' Models

A high-tech trio of fast, compact rigs boasting 100-yard accuracy.

Dec. 16, 2025 — TenPoint Crossbow Technologies today unveiled its 2026 crossbow lineup that includes four new offerings, including a trio of “Ultra” models — the TX Ultra 26.5, TX Ultra 29.5 and TRX Ultra — that set a new standard for the company in terms of speed, accuracy and compact maneuverability.

TenPoint also debuted an additional new model in the Turbo X Vision, offering crossbow enthusiasts a wider variety of features, performance markers and price points. Read on to learn more about the complete lineup of 2026 TenPoint crossbows.

One model certain to turn heads among both avid crossbow hunters and long-range shooting aficionados is the all-new TX Ultra 26.5 — a rig that launches 400-grain bolts at 410 fps and is filled with high-tech innovations that create a platform that TenPoint says is capable of shooting 3-inch groups at 100 yards. The TX Ultra 26.5 is also TenPoint’s most compact forward-draw crossbow ever, measuring 26.5 inches long, 7 inches wide when cocked and weighing 7.7 pounds.

“Previously, ‘short’ and ‘comfortable’ were never found in the same sentence when describing ultra-compact crossbows, but the TX Ultra 26.5 changes that,” TenPoint Chief Executive Officer Phil Bednar said. “It excels in ground blind hunting and run-and-gun situations where maneuverability is critical.”

Much of the credit for the TX Ultra 26.5’s accuracy — TenPoint says 70 percent tighter groups at 100 yards — is due to a trio of new features that includes wider, 8mm cam axles that are 175 percent stronger and 215 percent stiffer than standard axles, helping to maintain perfect cam, axle and limb alignment throughout the shot cycle. The rig also has new X-Wide Limbs that are 20 percent wider and 120 percent stronger than standard crossbow limbs. This eliminates torsional limb movement (twist), which in turn boosts long-range accuracy. Finally, TenPoint also developed new, custom-built, premium bowstrings and cables for the Ultra Series to both enhance accuracy and string durability, extending string life by up to 200 percent compared to previous strings.

TenPoint also developed all-new ACU-X Arrows for its Ultra models. These 20-inch, 440-grain grain arrows are spine-indexed at the factory, so each shaft sits on the crossbow in the same orientation for maximum accuracy and consistency from shot to shot. The arrows also feature a straightness tolerance of ±.001-inch and are weight sorted to ±1 grain from shaft to shaft. Further, the new arrows have new, ACU-X Snap-On Nocks that provide an audible click when properly engaged with the bowstring. This both reduces serving wear and eliminates lateral arrow movement during the shot for better long-range accuracy.

In addition to those new-for-2026 features, the TX Ultra 26.5 incorporates a host of proven TenPoint design elements that have a track record of delivering peak performance. Among these are: Twin-Riser Technology that uses a pair of metal riser plates to create a structure that is 18 percent lighter and twice as stiff as traditional one-piece risers, resulting in a 70 percent reduction in riser flex for enhanced accuracy; a custom, hand-built, 3-pound TriggerTech trigger with Zero-Creep Technology for a crisp, clean break and built-in Dry-Fire-Preventor that serves as a second failsafe to the AR-Style Ambidextrous Thumb Safety; a ZERO-Trac Barrel design that supports the arrow at the nock and front end, eliminating the traditional rail for a dramatic reduction in friction and string wear; and the full-length, machined aluminum ACU-Lock Scope Bridge that maximizes both durability and accuracy by offering a rock-solid mounting platform for the crossbow optic, as well as a generous amount of adjustability and the capability to accommodate heavier options such as thermal and rangefinding scopes.

As impressive as those technologies are, the TX Ultra 26.5 also offers extremely quick, easy and safe cocking and de-cocking via the integrated ACUslide MAXX crank mechanism that has an Auto-Brake Gear System that allows you to pause and even remove your hand from the cocking handle at any point in the process without fear of losing control of the bowstring.

Bowhunter received a TX Ultra 26.5 test unit in advance of today’s launch and recently hit the 100-yard shooting range on a blustery December day to put the new rig through its paces with the assistance of our colleagues Eric Poole, Editor of Guns & Ammo, and Bob Hunnicutt, former Editor of Firearms News. Despite unpredictable crosswinds and temperatures in the 20s, our shooters were extremely impressed with the TX Ultra 26.5’s performance and recorded 100-yard groups in the 4-inch range — a rather impressive feat considering the adverse conditions and the fact that this was a brand new crossbow being shot, right out of the box, for the first time. Make sure to watch the accompanying video featuring highlights from our test shoot.

Poole particularly noted the quality of the crossbow’s TriggerTech trigger that had an average trigger pull of 3.55 pounds on our Lyman digital trigger pull gauge. He described it as “very clean, very predictable,” saying it compares favorably with many precision rifles.

“TriggerTech makes all the difference in this,” Poole said. “When you have a light trigger, you can extract more accuracy potential out of any platform. Of course, we are not encouraging you to go out and shoot animals at 100 yards with this. But if you can do this at 100 yards, imagine what you can do at 50 yards.”

We used a Garmin Xero chronograph to measure arrow speed from the TX Ultra 26.5 at a five-shot average of 385 fps using the 440-grain ACU-X 20 Arrows provided by TenPoint. Although that’s below TenPoint’s advertised speed of 410 fps, we note that TenPoint determined advertised speed using lighter, 400-grain arrows. It’s also worth mentioning that the recorded speed was extremely consistent, with a standard deviation of just 1 fps among the five test shots.

Starting at $1,999.99 (price varies based on finish and scope option), the TX Ultra 26.5 comes standard with TenPoint’s RangeMaster 100 scope that offers speed-calibrated aiming points out to 100 yards. You can also select one of two rangefinding scope options. The TX Ultra 26.5 is available in Vektra Camo or Moss Green and comes with a bow hanger, quiver and 3 ACU-X 20 bolts.

TX Ultra 29.5

In addition to the TX Ultra 26.5, TenPoint has also unveiled the TX Ultra 29.5, built on the same platform only measuring 3 inches longer at 29.5 inches and shooting 50 fps faster at 460 fps with 400-grain arrows. That makes this rig the longest of the three new Ultra models and TenPoint’s fastest forward-draw crossbow to date.

The TX Ultra 29.5 measures just 6.5 inches wide when cocked and weighs 8 pounds. TenPoint says this model produces the same 3-inch, 100-yard accuracy as the TX Ultra 26.5, only with added speed and a bit of extra stability via the longer, heavier platform.

Otherwise, overall design and technologies incorporated into the TX Ultra 29.5 mirror those of the TX Ultra 26.5. Starting at $2,499.99 (price varies based on finish and scope option), the TX Ultra 29.5 comes standard with a TenPoint EVO-X Marksman Elite Scope that features dual illumination (red/green, with adjustable brightness) and speed-calibrated aiming points out to 100 yards. External target turrets offer easy windage and elevation adjustments. Two rangefinding scope options are also available.

The TX Ultra 29.5 is available in Vektra Camo or Moss Green and comes with a bow hanger, bubble level, quiver and 3 TenPoint ACU-X 20 Arrows.

TRX Ultra

Although it appears here as the third of TenPoint’s three new Ultra models, the TRX Ultra is, in fact, leading the way for 2026 thanks to its reverse-draw configuration that launches bolts at a blistering — and industry leading — 515 fps from a compact, well-balanced platform that has a 16.25-inch power stroke, weighs 8.4 pounds and measures 29.5 inches long and just 6 inches wide when cocked. TenPoint says the TRX Ultra isn’t just the fastest crossbow on the planet; like it’s forward-draw Ultra brothers, it’s also deadly accurate at ranges up to 100 yards.

Much of that accuracy can be attributed to a host of new features designed to add both precision and durability to the shooting platform, including new, 8mm cam axles that are wider and 120 percent stronger than standard axles for perfect alignment throughout the shot cycle and new X-Wide Limbs that are 120 percent stronger than standard limbs to eliminate accuracy-robbing limb twist. Other new features include a brushless, machined-aluminum arrow rest, new premium bowstring and cables and new, ACU-X RD Arrows that have snap-on nocks and are spine-indexed at the factory to deliver the ultimate in flight consistency from shot to shot. ACU-X RD Arrows also feature a straightness tolerance of ±.001-inch and are weight sorted to ±1 grain.

“Every component of our Ultra Series is designed with sniper-like accuracy and category-leading reliability,” Bednar said. “The TRX Ultra is the ultimate crossbow for the high-performance hunter.”

The TRX Ultra also offers a host of other TenPoint features that have proven their worth in recent years, including: the ACUslide MAXX for safe, easy and simple cocking and de-cocking; Twin-Riser Technology that greatly reduces riser flex for enhanced accuracy; a 3-pound TriggerTech trigger with Dry-Fire-Preventor and AR-Style Ambidextrous Thumb Safety; ZERO-Trac Barrel that supports arrows only at the nock and front end to drastically reduce friction; and the full-length, machined-aluminum ACU-Lock Scope Bridge for maximum stability, along with tremendous adjustability and the ability to accommodate heavier optics such as thermal and rangefinding scopes.

Starting at $3,499.99 (price varies based on finish and scope option), the TRX Ultra also features a built-in bow hanger and bubble level, Picatinny-mounted crank handle that offers multiple mounting options and an ambidextrous, quick-disconnect quiver that can be adjusted for your position preference. It’s available in Vektra Camo or Moss Green and also comes with three ACU-X RD arrows. The dual-illuminated EVO-X Marksman Elite Scope with speed-calibrated aiming points out to 100 yards is the standard optic, with a pair of rangefinding scope options also available.

How do you take an already great crossbow and make it even better? Well, if you’re TenPoint, you take the proven performance of the Turbo X and combine it with the power of the all-new Vision HD Digital Rangefinding Scope that not only makes ranging and aiming your targets a breeze but combines built-in video recording capabilities to capture your shots and review all the action from your hunts.

Measuring 33.25 inches long and weighing 6.8 pounds, the Turbo X is 9.5 inches wide when cocked and has a speed rating of 415 fps thanks to the MDX Cam system that has a reputation for reliability, simplicity and accuracy. For 2026, TenPoint is topping the crossbow with the Vision HD, a 3-12X optic that includes five, pre-loaded TenPoint Arrow Ballistic Profiles and simple setup, thanks to One-Shot Zeroing. You can also create custom arrow profiles for instant, range-compensated aiming points displayed within the scope.

The scope also has a built-in video recorder and noise-reducing microphone, featuring three smart trigger modes, including Auto RAV for hands-free, recoil-triggered recording.

“The Vision HD’s crystal-clear optics and one-shot zeroing make it incredibly easy to dial in, while the built-in video recorder captures every moment of the hunt with stunning clarity,” Bednar said. “This scope combines unrivaled rangefinding accuracy with the coolest feature ever — seamless recording that documents your entire hunting experience.”

Other highlights of the Turbo X Vision include: the S2 two-stage, zero-creep, 2.5-pound trigger with Dry-Fire-Prohibitor; the safe and easy ACUslide cocking and de-cocking mechanism; and an integrated bow hook and string-dampening system. Priced at $1,999.99, the Turbo X Vision is available exclusively in Vektra Camo and comes with a quiver, bow hook and 3 TenPoint Pro Elite 400 Carbon Arrows.
