Wicked Ridge Announces 2022 Crossbows & Accessories

When it comes to shopping for a new crossbow, some hunters go into the process knowing they need to stay under a certain dollar figure, while others simply want the best model that money can buy, especially when it comes to accuracy, speed and handling.

The ACUdraw De-Cock uses a cranking system, cocking sled and 1,000-pound-strength Nylon strap to draw the bowstring back, reducing the crossbow’s substantial draw weight to approximately 5 pounds of force. Then, when you’re done hunting, you don’t need to fire a discharge bolt or shoot into a target to decock the bow. Instead, you simply hook the cocking sled back onto the string, push the decock button on the bow and turn the handle counter-clockwise to lower the string. The ACUdraw system automatically locks the handle in place if you stop turning, or if your hand accidentally slips off the handle during the cocking/decocking process, helping to eliminate the potential for injury or damage to the bow.

At roughly 7.5 pounds without accessories, the Fury 410 De-Cock ($1,099.99) is fairly lightweight, with a new TACtical X stock that features several strategic cutouts to help reduce the weight and provide better in-hand balance. Other highlights include Wicked Ridge’s new D-1 two-stage, zero-creep trigger — reportedly the company’s smoothest trigger ever — and a new Dry-Fire Prohibitor designed to prevent the crossbow from accidentally discharging without a bolt in place.

If you’re looking for a crossbow that’s lightweight and handles well, then the Raider 400 De-Cock is absolutely a model to consider. The crossbow, which is powered by 11-inch WRX double-laminated limbs and 5S cams (185-pound draw weight), measures 31.5 inches long excluding the foot stirrup and is 15 inches wide when cocked, with a weight of 6.5 pounds without the accessories. In addition to the ACUdraw De-Cock, the Raider 400 De-Cock comes with the aforementioned D-1 two-stage, zero-creep trigger (3.5-pound pull) and TenPoint’s Dry-Fire Prohibitor. If you’re looking for a new game-getter to tip your Wicked Ridge bolts, the Impact Mechanical Broadhead ($34.99 per 3) promises to cut deeply and leave lots of blood for tracking. This 100-grain, rear-deploying 2-blade features a stainless steel ferrule, bone-crushing tip and ultra-sharp blades that produce a 2-inch slice.
