I read a story once about a hunter who cut himself badly while field-dressing a moose in the backcountry. He had a close call with death and survived only because his partner was able to get help. The scenario set me thinking, and my research led me to Z-Medica and its QuickClot, an excellent immediate-action tool for just such emergencies.
