In its second year in our review, Athens has expanded its line from two bows to five, added a 34" version of last year's Accomplice, and fitted all of its bows with America's Best strings and cables. The Accomplice 34 ($749) features the EV2 Extreme Velocity Duo Cams, a two-track system capable of arrow speeds in excess of 330 fps. Special Buck Commander versions of these two bows, sporting the Buck Commander logo and finish, are also available.
Athens also eliminated its one-cam model and added the Exceed ($849), a 37" bow with a specially designed grip to go with the EV2 Cam system and draw lengths up to 31". Finally, the Protégé ($399) is a youth bow with a draw weight range of 5-29 lbs. and draw length adjustment from 12"-26". It weighs only 2.9 lbs. and, like all Athens bows, comes with a String Stop.
