Time flies when you're having fun building quality, custom recurves. Just ask Hunter's Niche master bowyer Ron Pittsley. Ron first introduced his company's Predator takedown recurves 20 years ago, and to commemorate this milestone, Hunter's Niche is offering a special 20th Anniversary Limited Edition, three-piece takedown recurve that shoots as good as it looks.
The riser has an East Indian Rosewood and Maple checked strip fitted between a Macassar Ebony grip and African Shedua ends. On the back of the grip and window you'll find a Red Elm accent. Blistering arrow speed comes courtesy of bamboo and carbon limb cores, backed with Red Elm, under clear fiberglass. A satin finish protects this one-of-a-kind beauty.
To prove authenticity, each limited-edition Predator has a hand-lettered 20th Anniversary script and sequential number on it. Each bow comes in a custom wooden presentation box with a slider top sporting the laser-engraved anniversary insignia.
With each bow also comes assembly hardware, two 12-strand TS+ Flemish "Bikini" strings with padded loops, a Selway Archery bow stringer, an embroidered Predator cap, and a hardcover copy of the Traditional Bowyers Encyclopedia.
Quantities are limited. To reserve your bow before supplies run out, contact: Hunter's Niche, PO Box 142, East Tawas, MI 48730; (989) 984-0838; www.huntersniche.com.
