When Dave White bought Hot Shot Manufacturing in 2008, he stopped all production of existing releases to embark on a redesign journey, and the Infinity ($104 - $109) is one of the releases that emerged from that 18 months of evaluation, testing, and design. Replacing traditional roller bearings is Hot Shot's Lever-Link trigger mechanism that ensures a crisp, even release; reduces creep; and prevents dirt and other debris from gumming up the release.
The proprietary alloy process Hot Shot uses in the construction of the Infinity is essentially self-lubricating, meaning the release will stay consistently smooth even after lots of abuse in the outdoors. Lastly, Hot Shot chose the name Infinity because of the seemingly infinite length-adjustment options that allow fine-tuning of this release to specific shooting styles and bow setups. The Infinity is available with three strap offerings -- Velcro, Buckle, and Magnetic.
