In our November/Whitetail Special 2010 issue, we gave notice to a new bow line, called Prime, from G5 Outdoors. The Centroid™ ($999) and Shift™ ($999) are the first two bows being produced under the Prime name.
At the forefront of both are G5's Parallel Cam™ Technology and Ti-Glide™ flexible titanium cable guard, which combine to virtually eliminate cam lean and reduce horizontal nock travel and limb fatigue.
Other shared features include a forged 7000 Series T6 aluminum riser that's twice as strong as 6061 T6 aluminum; C-1 laminated limbs designed to reduce torsional stress; Gore® Fiber string and cables; a 7" brace height; IBO speed of 332 fps; and a Shield™ Grip made of G10 material that repels water and odors.
The Centroid is 34" long and is available in draw lengths of 27"-31" and weights of 50, 60, and 70 lbs. The Shift is 30" long with draw lengths of 26"-30" and weights of 50, 60, and 70 lbs. Both are offered in Optifade™ Forest, Optifade Open Country, Realtree® AP HD™, and Black.
