New Hunting Apparel for 2022

Every bowhunter has a vice. For some, it’s the latest gadgets for their bows or the latest best next broadhead. For others it's the bow itself that really turns their crank. For me, if I were to be completely honest, it would have to be the latest camo huntwear.

In 2019, ScentLok launched the popular BE:1 Reactor Series, and this year they are launching an updated version that’s sure to be the buzz once again. Retaining the best features of the original, while adding new ones, it’s still a highly versatile jacket that is designed as a stand-alone piece or as a layering piece beneath ScentLok’s other seasonal collections. Sporting Carbon Alloy scent-control technology, the re-invented Reactor Jacket offers improved thermal performance with 60 grams of Primaloft Silver low-bulk insulation with a new microfleece lining with their WindBrake windproof design. It’s equipped with a new ergonomically fitted Scuba hood that keeps body heat from escaping, while also locking in human odor. Tailored for minimal bulk and maximum mobility, it pairs silent micro tricot fabric in the body and upper-arm areas with a stretch polyester cuff and a trim fitted waist. www.scentlok.com

Huntworth

Huntworth Saskatoon Soft Shell Cold-Weather Series

Although November is what all whitetail bowhunters dream about in the off-season, the late season can be a productive time of year as well, if you can stand the elements. Helping you to get the most out of the entire season, Huntworth launches the new Saskatoon soft shell cold-weather series. Equipped with their new HEAT BOOST Graphene Technology, they are designed to provide 30% more warmth without the bulk that other insulated garments often have. Incorporating a quiet, 4-way stretch flexible shell, a windproof membrane with sherpa lining, they offer a lightweight, highly flexible garment with a high heat-to-weight ratio. They also feature a long-lasting, water-resistant finish to ensure rain, sleet or snow won’t be the reason you leave early. www.huntworthgear.com

One such beast for the early season is their 1000+ UPF rated SolAir Lightweight Pants. Featuring Forloh’s new Brrr Pro cooling technology, it incorporates cooling minerals into the fibers that is cool to the touch and has been proven in lab testing to keep your skin temperature -3.5F +/- cooler during high activity. This technology also expands the wicking properties of the fabric by over 300%, while letting the fabric dry in minutes. As with every piece in Forloh’s warm weather collection, they feature Polygiene Stay Fresh anti-microbial and Odor Crunch scent control systems to help reduce your scent. www.forloh.com
